Baroque painting

Baroque art developed in the context of the Counter-Reformation, despite the Eighty Years’ War. “Flemish” Baroque painting produced several renowned painters, including Peter Paul Rubens, Anthony van Dyck, various members of the Brueghel family (fathers and sons), David Teniers the Elder and David Teniers the Younger (linked to Brueghel).
