Main body of the palace

Architectural form of the palace clearly alludes to 16th-century Italian villas and French palaces from the times of Louis XIV. In line with the baroque fashion, front elevations are rendered in monumental style which well corresponds with the stately character of the royal residence. Garden elevations are different; from the east the main body of the palace shows features of a manor house, while a rich, freely-composed stucco decoration makes reference to Roman villas surrounded by gardens.
