Wilanów Palace is nationalized on the strength of decree dated 28 January 1945 and incorporated into organization structure of the National Museum in Warsaw. Commenced are activities (supervised by Gerard Ciołek) aimed at repairing war damages and reconstructing the park. Wilanów regains a large part its collection and the palace is opened to visitors.
