Between June 7th and the 24th 1520 took place a meeting between Henry VIII of England and Francis I of France. Known as the Field of the Cloth of Gold, this meeting was supposed to increase the bond between the two kings after the treaty of 1518 and is greatly renowned for the dazzling decorations as Henry VIII and Francis I tried to outshine each other.
